Administrator Toolkits

The DDL Toolkits were created to provide needed resources to school administrator in specialized areas. The resources in the Toolkits are meant to be guides and samples of processes, procedures and forms that will help facilitate the development of efficient and effective school programs. The Toolkits are free and we hope they will provide a starting point for your district/school to align policies and practices with current best practice guidelines.

School Resource Officer Toolkit:


Reducing the disproportionate discipline of students of color has been identified as a priority at both the national and state levels. One of the best practice strategies to reduce disproportionate discipline is to provide clear guidance regarding the utilization of SRO’s in an effort to reduce the criminalization of students, generally, and students of color in particular. The SRO Toolkit contains sample policies and forms to assist school districts in providing clear guidelines to staff, students, parents, and law enforcement regarding the role of SRO’s on campus.

Athletics Toolkit:


High School sports are becoming more and more popular with unprecedented numbers of students participating in interscholastic athletics. There are numerous safety and administrative aspects to coaching that get ignored, often by less experienced and/or walk on coaches. It is imperative that schools provide strategies and resources to support coaches in effectively and efficiently monitoring student safety and the overall operation of the athletic teams that they coach. The Athletics Toolkit contains sample checklists and forms that will help provide organization and structure to athletic programs.
